The Royal Mint's figures record no National Flowers £2 released into circulation for 2023 or 2024, so coins come from brilliant uncirculated sets, packs and proof sets. The date and the packaging drive the price. The 2023 first strikes with the crown privy mark are sold as a separate item from plain coins, and each year's brilliant uncirculated coin trades on its own. A coin removed from its set loses the protection of the packaging, so check the textured panel and flower heads for handling marks.

The National Flowers £2 is split into two halves. On the left is a big numeral 2 on a finely textured background; on the right is a spray of four flowers whose blooms and leaves spread onto the yellow outer ring. There is no TWO POUNDS lettering on the reverse and no commemorative legend around the ring. Turn it over for King Charles III, and check the edge for IN SERVITIO OMNIUM. The 2023 first-strike coins sold to collectors also show a small crown privy mark.

On 12 October 2023 The Royal Mint presented new reverse designs for all eight definitive coins, from the 1p to the £2 coin, to accompany the first portrait of King Charles III. The £2 coin, the largest denomination in circulation, took the national flowers of the four parts of the United Kingdom as its subject. The design, credited to The Royal Mint, is divided down the middle. On the left, a large numeral 2 stands on a finely textured panel that crosses both metals. On the right, a single spray carries a rose for England, a daffodil for Wales, a thistle for Scotland and a shamrock for Northern Ireland, with flower heads and leaves breaking out onto the outer ring at the upper right and at the bottom. TWO POUNDS appears nowhere on the reverse; the numeral gives the value. The edge reads IN SERVITIO OMNIUM, Latin for in the service of all, a phrase inspired by the King's first address as monarch on 9 September 2022 and approved by him.
