The Team GB and ParalympicsGB 50p was issued for the Olympic and Paralympic Games held in Paris in 2024 and shows two athletes against the Union Flag. It was a collector coin, first sold in the 2024 annual sets, and never went into circulation. It is the third of the three Team GB 50p coins and one of the 172 50p designs struck since 1969.

The Team GB and ParalympicsGB 50p was never struck for circulation, so prices depend on collector condition and format. How to spot a Team GB and ParalympicsGB 50p
Look for two geometric, mosaic-style athletes with the Union Flag behind them and a tiny Eiffel Tower at the bottom. The only letters on the reverse are CT, for Charis Tsevis. It is the only Team GB 50p with King Charles III on the heads side; the 2016 and 2020 designs carry Queen Elizabeth II. Because it never circulated, any Team GB coin you pull from your change is the 2016 swimmer design, not this one.

Team GB and ParalympicsGB 50p design
For the Paris 2024 Games, The Royal Mint issued one 50p for both Team GB and ParalympicsGB. Paris was hosting the Olympics for the third time, a century after its 1924 Games, and France was staging the summer Paralympics for the first time. Charis Tsevis designed the reverse as mosaic artwork: two geometric athletes in action, one standing for the Olympic Games and one for the Paralympic Games, set against the Union Flag. A small Eiffel Tower at the foot of the design points to the host city, and the designer's initials CT are the only lettering. On the heads side is King Charles III in Martin Jennings' portrait, which made this the first UK sporting 50p to carry the King. The coin appeared in the 2024 annual coin sets and was the last design from those sets to be released individually. A colour-printed edition went on sale on 2 July 2024, and silver proof, silver piedfort and gold proof versions were also struck.
