Tigger 50p (2021)
The Tigger 50p, issued in 2021, is the sixth coin in the Winnie the Pooh and Friends series and the last of that year's designs. It shows the bouncing tiger from A. A. Milne's stories and was sold only to collectors. It is one of the 12 Winnie the Pooh 50p coins and one of the 172 50p designs struck since 1969.

The Tigger 50p comes only in collector quality, so its price follows condition and packaging. Dealers carry it in the Royal Mint pack, in capsules and in certified cards. Only a minority of the standard coins were sold in the Royal Mint's own wallet. Scuffs on the raised figure count against a loose coin, and the colour edition, the silver and gold proofs and the gold piedfort have separate prices.

How to spot a Tigger 50p
Tigger is the only character on this coin, caught mid-bounce over long grass with his name above him. The obverse shows Queen Elizabeth II, which separates it from the 2026 Friendship coin, where Tigger appears with Pooh, Piglet and Eeyore and King Charles III is on the heads side. It was never released into change.

Tigger 50p design
Tigger was a late arrival in A. A. Milne's world. He first appears in The House at Pooh Corner, published in 1928, two years after the first Pooh book, and he bounces into the Hundred Acre Wood sure that Tiggers can do almost anything, which is seldom the case. The Royal Mint gave him the sixth coin of its Winnie the Pooh and Friends series, released on 1 November 2021 to close that year's run. Royal Mint designer Daniel Thorne, working with The Walt Disney Company, worked from E. H. Shepard's original drawing, and the finished reverse shows Tigger bouncing on his own, with his name lettered by hand above him and a small ©Disney mark. The honeybee that links the coins in the set makes its appearance here too. Queen Elizabeth II appears on the obverse in Jody Clark's fifth portrait. The Royal Mint sold the brilliant uncirculated coin in the series' fold-out wallet, along with a colour version and silver and gold proofs. Tigger returns in the 2022 group design and on the 2026 Friendship coin.
It was one of the three coins in the Winnie the Pooh set issued in 2021.
