Every Wallace and Gromit 50p was sold in brilliant uncirculated quality, so there is no circulated price. What moves the value is the state of the coin and its packaging. A coin still sealed in its original Royal Mint pack, with the card flat and unmarked, is worth more than one sold loose or taken out of its pack, and scratches or fingerprints on the smooth field around the porthole count against it.

A genuine coin shows Wallace and Gromit looking out of a round porthole, with CASEUS PRAESTANS and WALLACE GROMIT in the lettering and the initials NP. The heads side has Jody Clark's fifth portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the date 2019. Official examples come in Royal Mint packs or other sealed collector packaging, and no varieties are recorded.

A Grand Day Out, the Aardman film that introduced Wallace and Gromit, was first shown in November 1989, and over the following decades the pair became a fixture of Christmas television in the UK. For the film's 30th anniversary in 2019, The Royal Mint worked with Aardman Animations on the first UK coin to feature them, and the design came from Nick Park, who created the characters. It returns to that first adventure: Wallace and Gromit are shown as if peering out of the round porthole of the rocket that took them to the moon. The lettering around them reads CASEUS PRAESTANS, Latin for cracking cheese, together with WALLACE GROMIT, and Park's initials NP are on the same side. The heads side carries Jody Clark's fifth portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with the value and the date. The coin was never struck for circulation. It went on sale in brilliant uncirculated quality from 29 October 2019, in Royal Mint packs and in other official collector packaging.
