Winnie the Pooh and Friends 50p (2022)
The 2022 Winnie the Pooh and Friends 50p is the ninth and final coin in the Royal Mint's series, showing Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet under a tree. It was sold only to collectors, never put into circulation. It is one of the 12 Winnie the Pooh 50p coins and one of the 172 50p designs struck since 1969.

As the final coin, this design completes the nine-coin set, and it was sold only in brilliant uncirculated and collector versions. Condition and packaging decide the price, and a coin still in the Royal Mint's fold-out pack or a certified card is worth more than a loose one. The colour-printed coin and both proofs trade as separate items with their own prices.

How to spot a Winnie the Pooh and Friends 50p
Look for the tree. Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet gather under its branches, with the title and a bumblebee over their heads. The 2021 group coin has a bigger crowd in a line, including Rabbit, Owl, Kanga and Roo, and the 2026 Friendship coin shows the same four with the Disney logo below them and King Charles III on the obverse. This one has Queen Elizabeth II and was never circulated.

Winnie the Pooh and Friends 50p design
The Royal Mint closed its three-year Winnie the Pooh and Friends series in 2022 with a second group design. Royal Mint designer Daniel Thorne, working with The Walt Disney Company, once again worked from E. H. Shepard's artwork for A. A. Milne's books. This time Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet gather beneath the branches of a tree, with a bumblebee, the motif that had linked all nine designs since 2020, flying beside the title. The title Winnie the Pooh is lettered by hand above the friends in the same style as on the 2021 coin, with the usual small ©Disney credit. Rabbit, Owl, Kanga and Roo, all part of the 2021 group scene, are left out. The Queen's fifth portrait by Jody Clark fills the obverse, and this is the last Pooh coin to carry it: when the Royal Mint returned to Pooh for the 2026 centenary, the portrait was King Charles III's. Alongside the standard brilliant uncirculated coin, the Royal Mint sold colour-printed and precious-metal proof versions.
