Winnie the Pooh Friendship 50p (2026)

The Friendship 50p came out as a collector-only coin in 2026, and the Royal Mint has not yet released a figure for how many were struck. Its value rests on condition and packaging, and dealers offer it both sealed in the Royal Mint pack and unpackaged. The colour edition has a published issue limit and a price of its own, and a loose coin with marks across the four figures is worth less than a clean one.

The Winnie the Pooh Friendship 50p was not issued for circulation, so it has no rarity rank.

Four characters with the Disney logo underneath them mark the Friendship coin; on Kindness and Loyalty it sits in the upper part of the design. Compare it with the 2022 Winnie the Pooh and Friends 50p, which shows the same four beneath a single tree with the title above and Queen Elizabeth II on the other side. This 2026 coin has King Charles III. None of the three centenary coins entered circulation.

• Colour edition: A colour-printed brilliant uncirculated edition sold only by The Royal Mint, with an issue limit of 15,001.

Friendship runs all through A. A. Milne's books, and the Royal Mint kept it for the last of its three 2026 coins marking a hundred years since Winnie-the-Pooh was published in 1926. Created with The Walt Disney Company, the reverse gathers Pooh with Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet in the Hundred Acre Wood, with trees all around the group. Unlike the Kindness and Loyalty coins, the Disney Winnie the Pooh title logo sits below the characters instead of above them, with the DISNEY wordmark on top of Winnie the Pooh in capitals and small letters and the ©Disney credit close by. Martin Jennings's portrait of King Charles III is on the obverse. Eeyore, Piglet and Tigger each had a coin of their own in the earlier series, and here they return as a group. The same four friends had shared the final coin of that series in 2022, but that design used an E. H. Shepard illustration, put its title at the top and carried Queen Elizabeth II. The Royal Mint sold a colour-printed Friendship coin to a published limit, and silver and gold proofs, alongside the standard brilliant uncirculated version.
