The Winnie the Pooh Kindness 50p is the first of three 2026 coins marking the centenary of A. A. Milne's Winnie-the-Pooh. The Kindness 50p is a recent collector-only issue, and no brilliant uncirculated mintage has been published for it yet. Dealers still offer it new, both in the Royal Mint pack and unpackaged. Pooh on his own, clutching a bunch of flowers among trees with the Disney title logo above him, marks the Kindness coin. The other two 2026 designs add Christopher Robin (Loyalty) or Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet (Friendship), and the Friendship coin moves the logo below the figures. King Charles III on the obverse rules out every 2020 to 2022 Pooh coin, all of which show Queen Elizabeth II. It was not issued for circulation.

Winnie the Pooh Kindness 50p design
A. A. Milne's Winnie-the-Pooh was first published in 1926, and the Royal Mint marked its centenary in 2026 with a new set of three 50p coins, each built around a quality found in the stories. Kindness came first, a trait that shows in how Pooh behaves towards his friends throughout the books. Created in partnership with The Walt Disney Company, the reverse shows Pooh holding a bouquet of flowers, surrounded by the trees of the Hundred Acre Wood. The artwork comes from Disney rather than from E. H. Shepard's drawings, which the Royal Mint's 2020 to 2022 series had adapted. At the top of the design sits the Disney Winnie the Pooh title logo, with DISNEY set over Winnie the Pooh in upper and lower case and a small ©Disney credit. The obverse carries Martin Jennings's portrait of King Charles III, which makes Kindness the first Pooh 50p to show the King rather than Queen Elizabeth II. A colour-printed edition with a published issue limit and silver and gold proofs were sold alongside the standard brilliant uncirculated coin.
