The Game of Thrones Ice 50p is the partner to the Fire coin, issued by the Royal Mint in 2026 for the fifteenth anniversary of the HBO series. The Royal Mint marked fifteen years since Game of Thrones reached television with two coins, one for each of the two elemental forces at the heart of the saga, fire and ice. The Ice coin is given over to one of the show's best-known villains. Ffion Rees, who created the artwork for both coins, made its reverse a portrait of the Night King, who commands the White Walkers and the army of the dead. The lettering GAME OF THRONES is split over two lines, and a small ©&TM HBO credit sits on the design. The coin went on sale alongside its Fire partner, which shows the dragon Drogon beside the Targaryen banner. On the obverse is Martin Jennings's portrait of King Charles III.
