Star Trek Spacecraft 50p (2026)
The Star Trek Spacecraft 50p is the second of the Royal Mint's two 2026 coins for the 60th anniversary of Star Trek, showing four starships from across the franchise. It is a collector coin that does not circulate. It is one of the two Star Trek 50p coins and one of the 172 50p designs struck since 1969.
Star Trek Spacecraft 50p value
No resale prices have been published for the Star Trek Spacecraft 50p.
This coin was never meant for change, so its value depends on it staying in collector condition. Buyers prefer a coin in its sealed Royal Mint pack to a loose one, and any scratch across the four ships shows easily on a brilliant uncirculated finish. The colour edition with blue and purple nebulas is priced apart from the plain coin, and the two-coin set with the Live Long and Prosper design is a separate product again, valued as a pair.
Star Trek Spacecraft 50p mintage and rarity
The Star Trek Spacecraft 50p was not issued for circulation, so it has no rarity rank.
How to spot a Star Trek Spacecraft 50p
Count the ships. This design shows four spacecraft, among them two versions of the Enterprise and a Klingon Bird of Prey, while the other Star Trek 50p shows only a hand giving the Vulcan salute. It has the Star Trek name and anniversary number on the reverse and King Charles III on the heads side. You will not find it in change: it is made only as a collector coin, in brilliant uncirculated and proof editions.

Star Trek Spacecraft 50p design
The Royal Mint's anniversary tribute to Star Trek, which first aired on television in September 1966, came as a pair of 50ps. The Vulcan salute coin went on sale first, and on the same day, 3 September 2026, The Royal Mint announced this spacecraft design for release in November 2026. Where its partner is built around a single hand, this reverse gathers four ships from different eras of the franchise: the U.S.S. Voyager, two Enterprises with different registry numbers, and a Klingon Bird of Prey. The lettering Star Trek and the anniversary number sixty appear alongside them. Colour-printed editions add swirling blue and purple nebulas to the scene. On the obverse is Martin Jennings' portrait of King Charles III. The Royal Mint also sells it with the Live Long and Prosper design as a two-coin set, in brilliant uncirculated, colour, silver proof and gold proof editions.
In the Star Trek set it was issued in 2026 together with the Star Trek Live Long and Prosper 50p.
